Ajita Singh, MPA

Ajita Singh is a doctoral student focusing on policy and economics. Ajita holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from School of International Affairs (SIPA), Columbia University. Her research focuses on women’s health and gendered inequities in health and health services. Ajita is currently working with Dr. Nabila El-Bassel and Dr. Anindita Dasgupta on Advancing Solutions in Policy, Implementation, Research and Engagement for Refugees (ASPIRE). Ajita brings policy experience from various governments and international and academic institutions, including the United Nations Executive Office of the Secretary-General and UNDP in New York. At the United Nations she worked to respond to global health crisis, manage the climate and sustainability programme, and liaise with United Nations Agencies and Funds and Programmes and governments to advance sustainable development solutions in Asia and Latin America. Prior to this, Ajita worked at SaferWorld UK on social justice centered research projects to prevent violent conflicts in South Asia.
